NARROWMEAD
Narrowmead is an unregulated stretch of meadow located south of the Tammerlyn Forest. The land has been set aside as acreage of unspoiled wilderness.
-HISTORY-
Narrowmead was founded in 1000 TA by King Arnold the Strange, a worshipper of Satryn, to commemorate the millennial anniversary of Tora Danya’s founding. It serves as a sanctuary for wildlife. Occasionally, species of grassland animals deemed endangered will be transferred here. Ruins from Ladinia can be found, but most have been claimed by the wild growth of the land.
-ECONOMY-
Once per fall and once per autumn, the Monarchy funds expeditions into the region, which citizens pay to be a part of. Natural and Agricultural experts help them to spot unusual wildlife and vegetation.
It is illegal to hunt animals or destroy vegetation in Narrowmead. Poaching wildlife incurs an exorbitant fee and potential prison sentence.
-DEMOGRAPHY AND CULTURE-
It is illegal to settle in Narrowmead. There are stories of tiny communities hidden within, but none have been found or prosecuted. Bandits, however, are known to seek refuge in the overgrown fields. Most are hunted down by regional troops belonging to the Dukes of Oceanward.
Religion
Narrowmead features several ancient shrines to deities who are less-common in the modern era, including, Kurakesh, Lune, and Lessa. Pilgrimages are acceptable once a year and must be accompanied by registered authorities.
